Itinerary

Meet Absolute Holiday Safaris crew at your Nairobi Hotel or at airport, be introduced to your driver guide and a short briefing about the tour. Leave Nairobi before 0800am and driver via Equator Line where you will make the first stopover, proceed further to Meru National Park arriving in time for Hot Lunch. Little siesta following by evening game drive, the park is ideal for wildlife safari and birding watching. Track the various animals that inhabit in this National park later dinner and overnight will be served at Ikweta Safari Camp. Dinner and overnight at Ikweta Luxury Safari Camp.

Our day will start with breakfast at the camp, and then leave with a picnic lunch for extensive game driver. Explore the part with your guide with a visit to Murera River and Ura River to see crocodiles, watch birds and Hippopotamus, Adamson fall as well as former home of Joy and George Adamson. Have you Picnic lunch and continue with the game drive till evening. Just to mention some of the animals that you may see in this park: African Big Cats which include: Leopard, Cheetahs, Lions, Herds of Elephant, Herds of Buffalos, Black and white Rhino, Waterbuck, Bush Baby, Giraffes, Zebras, Hyena, Impalas, Kudu, Wild dog, Baboons, vervet Monkeys among others. Later Return to the camp for Dinner and overnight at Ikweta Luxury Safari Camp.

Marking our last day in Meru National Park, we will check out after our breakfast at 8.00am and leave for Samburu Shaba National Reserve. We will arrive and check in to our lodge in time for lunch. Later embark on a 2 hours evening game drives in the reserve, in search of the special five such as the Somali Ostrich, Grevy Zebras, Giraffe Antelope or Gerenuk, Reticulated Giraffes and the Beisa Oryx, the Big Cats and bird life of Meru National Park.

Dinner and overnight at Samburu Shaba Game lodge.

Samburu National Reserve, Samburu National Reserve, Samburu District, Rift Valley Province. You have a full day game drive with picnic lunch. Samburu is famous for its unique big five; Reticulated Giraffe, Grevy Zebra, Gerenuk, Oryx and Somali Ostrich. Look for the Great Elephants Migration of Crossing Brown River. look for lions, Cheetahs y Leopards. Visit the Buffalo Springs. In 2002 we had a Lioness which had adapted a young one of Oryx. The Famous Film ’ Born Free’ was done here. Watch the beautiful Sunset. Be back to the lodge at 1800hrs.

Pick up from your hotel and depart for Olpejeta conservancy (360square km)is a private Sweetwaters Game Sanctuary situated between the Aberdares and Mount Kenya. The sanctuary hosts birdlife, exotic flora and wildlife including the two remaining northern white rhino. Arrive with game drive towards the Serena Sweet waters for Lunch and relax until 1600hrs. Head for an evening game drive that includes a visit to the orphaned chimpanzees. Game drive continues until sunset. Dinner and overnight at the Camp with a superb view of drinking animals (elephants, giraffes among others) from the best waterhole in the area.

Dinner and overnight at SWEETWATERS SERENA CAMP

After breakfast depart for Lake Nakuru National park arrive at the lodge in time for lunch., check in at Lake Nakuru Lodge. Afternoon game drive across the Pink Lake often referred so due to it’s Great masses of Flamingos not forgetting the famous white Rhino and black rhino found in this park.. Others game include Thomson’s and Grant gazelle, the long- eared leaf-nosed bat, Columbus monkey, rock hyrax, hippo, and waterbuck; Impala, striped hyena, bat-eared fox, wildcat, reedbuck and golden cat. Dinner and overnight at Lake Nakuru lodge or Sarova Woodlands Lodge. 

Early morning breakfast. After breakfast leave Lake Nakuru for Masai Mara arriving in time for lunch. check in Masai Mara sopa Sopa /Mara Maisha Luxury camp and have lunch. Afternoon game drive through the park in search of the Lion, Cheetah, Elephant, Buffalo. The Mara is magnificent, home to Kenya’s richest concentration of wildlife, golden grassland plains pocked with acacia, wildebeests, zebras, lions, and jackals bound by together by the cycle of life and death…Dinner and overnight at Mara sopa Lodge/Mara Maisha Luxury camp

Morning and afternoon game drives will lead you to some of Africa’s largest lion prides, herds of zebra, antelopes, buffaloes, wildebeest, giraffes, cheetahs, and hyenas. It is in the Mara that perhaps the most spectacular event of the natural world takes place. This is the annual migration of millions of wildebeest and zebra from the Serengeti (Tanzania) in search of water and pasture. Following on their heels are the predators of the savanna- lion, cheetah, wild dog, jackal, hyena and vultures. Dinner and overnight at Mara Maisha Luxury camp/Mara sopa lodge.

The Masai Mara is one of the greatest wildernesses of the world. Morning and afternoon game drives are planned. Large mammals are varied, abundant and easy to see. Residents among the parks mammals are; Masai Giraffe, Buffalo, Impala, Zebra, Topi, both the Thomson’s and Grant’s Gazelles. Optional hot Air Balloon rides are available on this day at an additional cost. On this final day in the Mara, you also have an opportunity to visit an authentic Masai village.

Overnight Accommodation: Mara Maisha Luxury Camp

Wake up early in the morning and have a short morning game drive in the park. Return to Camp/Lodge for Breakfast and around 9:30 AM checkout and Depart to Lake Naivasha which is about 5 hours drive.
