9 Days Best of Kenya Lodges safari

Day 1: Nairobi-Aberdarers
Leave Nairobi in the morning passing through the town of Nyeri where Lord Baden Powell, the founder of the Boy Scouts movement, spent the last years of his life and is buried. After lunch at the Abrerdare Country Club, drive through the forest where varied species of game can be seen along the way to your tree hotel. Tonight, you will be able to watch game from your hotel balcony, which overlooks a floodlit waterhole. Overnight at Treetops Lodge

Day 2: Aberdare-Samburu
After breakfast, drive north to reach Samburu Game Reserve in time for lunch. An afternoon game drive introduces you to this beautiful and game abundant park, home to rarely found species such as the Beisa Oryx, Grevy's zebra, blue-necked Somali ostrich and reticulated giraffe. Overnight at Samburu Lodge

Day 3: Samburu
Spend the day exploring the reserve and its varied species of game. Overnight at the Samburu Lodge.

Day 4: Samburu- Mt Kenya
Depart from Samburu drive to Mt Kenya arriving at the Lodge in time for Lunch in the afternoon have a game drive at the Park Dinner and Overnight at Mountain Lodge

Day 5: Mt. Kenya - Lake Baringo
Leaving from Lake Nakuru after breakfast we make a scenic drive to the west across the Lerochi Plateau, arriving at Lake Baringo in time for Lunch. Have an afternoon game drive back to the Lodge, Optional Boat Ride at the Lake.

Day 6: Lake Baringo - Lake Nakuru
Depart Lake Baringo after breakfast for Lake Nakuru arriving in time for lunch. In the afternoon game drive until late afternoon, after a thorough game viewing, go for Dinner and overnight at Lake Nakuru Lodge

Day 7: Lake Nakuru - Maasai Mara
Depart Lake Nakuru after breakfast and drive to Maasai Mara arriving by lunchtime. After lunch proceed  for an afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight at the Lodge.

Day 8: Maasai Mara
From the lodge, we explore the Mara region, packed with the elephants, zebras, rhinos and all kinds of game through out the year with the spectacular wildebeest migration from Serengeti occurring mainly in July and August. Being at Maasai Mara is "as if you found yourself in the New York of the natural world according to some authorities". Indeed you have the best opportunity of seeing all the big five. Dinner and overnight Sopa Lodge or similar lodge.

Day 9: Masai Mara - Nairobi
Depart the lodge and drive through the reserve viewing game as you proceed to the main Narok road. On reaching Narok, we halt to give you a chance to buy souvenirs, or just to have a cup of tea. Back to Nairobi by 5.00 p.m. Drop off at your hotel.

-International airfares
-Accommodation in Nairobi
-Transfers from or to the airport upon arrival and departure respectively

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING (For Camping Safaris Only):

    Sleeping bag
    rucksack as storage space on our bases is limited (excess luggage can be securely left at our offices, free of charge).
    Sturdy safari clothes, jeans, T-shirts, jumper, or anorak for cool evenings and early mornings.
    Torch, toiletries, bath towel and insect repellent
    Film for the duration of the safari
    And, of course, personal spending money!!! (for drinks, showers and swimming)
