8 Days kenya budget safaris - Samburu/Lake Nakuru/Masai Mara/Amboseli

Day 1: Nairobi/Samburu
After breakfast depart Nairobi at 7.30Am drive to Samburu National Reserve cross Equator, travel through changing landscapes to the rugged-semi region, though harsh but having unique species like the unusual reticulated giraffe, grevy's Zebra, Beisa, oryx, gerenuk. These species are rarely found elsewhere. The bird life is especially notable. Arrive in time for lunch. Afternoon game drive is taken. Dinner and overnight at Samburu budget Camping.

Day 2: Samburu
Full day with morning and afternoon game drive. Optional visit to Samburu villages. Meals and overnight at Samburu budget Camping.

Day 3: Samburu/Lake Nakuru
Depart Samburu after breakfast and proceed south to lake Nakuru, which is often referred to as the pink lake for it's great masses of pink flamingos. Arrive in time for lunch. Can also see water buck, leopards impala, Buffalo and is currently a rhino sanctuary. Afternoon game drive is taken. Dinner and overnight at Lake Nakuru budget hotel.

Day 4: Lake Nakuru/Maasai Mara
Leave Nakuru after breakfast and head for Maasai Mara National Reserve which is famous for it's great herds of wild game. All animals found in Kenya among the "big five" are found here. Arrive in time for lunch. Afternoon game drives. Dinner and overnight at Mara budget Camping.

Day 5: Maasai Mara
Full day game drives with packed picnic lunches. Leisure in the evening or visit the Maasai villages- at a small fee paid separately. Meals and overnight at Masai Mara Camping.

Day 6: Masai Mara/Amboseli
Depart Masai Mara after breakfast and proceed to Amboseli via Nairobi for lunch. Arrive to the park at the foot of the snow capped Mt. Kilimanjaro, Africa's highest peak. Afternoon game drive is taken. Dinner and overnight at Amboseli Amboseli Campsite

Day 7: Amboseli
Full day in the park with with picnic lunches. Meals and overnight at Amboseli budget Campsite

Day 8: Amboseli/Nairobi
Depart for Nairobi after breakfast, with game-drive en route arriving late afternoon.

End of Budget Camping Safari.

    Transport in a customised, fulltime 4 wheel-drive 9-seater safari vehicle, fitted with HF radio, slidding windows, seat belts and pop up roof.

WHAT IS EXCLUDED FROM THE SAFARI:
-International airfares
-Accommodation in Nairobi
-Transfers from or to the airport upon arrival and departure respectively

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING (For Camping Safaris Only):

    Sleeping bag
    rucksack as storage space on our bases is limited (excess luggage can be securely left at our offices, free of charge).
    Sturdy safari clothes, jeans, T-shirts, jumper, or anorak for cool evenings and early mornings.
    Torch, toiletries, bath towel and insect repellent
    Film for the duration of the safari
    And, of course, personal spending money!!! (for drinks, showers and swimming)
