Program.
Day 1: Pick up from the airport and transfer to your Nairobi hotel for dinner and overnight with safari briefing.
Day 2: Nairobi – Naivasha
Drive through Kikuyu farmland to the edge of the Rift Valley. Camp to the shore of lake Naivasha with a large bird and hippo population. Walk among the animals on a guided crescent Island tour. Dinner and overnight in Naivasha budget hotel.
Day 3: Naivasha- Lake Nakuru
After breakfast, leave for Nakuru and explore this very colourful town. Enjoy an afternoon safari in search of the black and white rhino, lion and the elusive leopard. Dinner and overnight in Nakuru budget hotel.
Day 4-5: Nakuru -Kakamega:
After a morning breakfast, depart Nakuru town and drive to Kakamega, a virgin tropical rain forest which is home to a huge variety of birds and monkeys. On day 5, stretch your legs with a morning guided walk to get to learn more about the contents of this endangered forest. Dinner and overnight in Kakamega budget hotel.
Day 6: Kakamega – Kisumu
Wake up in the morning and drive to Kisumu, the third largest city in kenya after Nairobi and Mombasa. Enjoy the colourful open air market interracting with people mostly the Luo community,the second largest tribe in Kenya. Meals and overnight in Kisumu budget hotel.
Day 7 – 8: Kisumu – Kendu bay:
Depart Kisumu early morning after breakfast for Kendu bay to experience how many rural Africans live in a traditional homestay in the hills above Kendu bay. Wander with the villagers, striking up conversation and enjoy the local hospitality. Dinner and overnight in Kendu bay.
Depart Kendu bay via Kericho, to see the largest tea growing town in Kenya. You will also pass by Kisii, the soapstone center of East africa, arriving Maasai Mara in good time for an afternoon gamedrive en-route. Dinner and overnight in Masai Mara budget camping.
Day 10: Masaai Mara
After breakfast spend full day game drives, explore the parks amazingly high concentration of game. This game reserve is Kenya's finest wildlife sanctuary including migrants, well over 450 species of animals have been recorded here although July, August and September are the months when the Mara plains are filled with migrating wildebeest and zebra, there is also resident wildlife year round. The famous Maasai tribesmen live within the dispersal area of the game reserve lunch is serve in the park return to the campsite for dinner and overnight.
Day 11: Masaai Mara/Nairobi
An early morning game drive in Masai Mara followed by late breakfast at the campsite and a departure to Nairobi stopping sporadically for the breathtaking panoramic views of the rift valley and adjacent landforms. The tour ends in Nairobi late in the afternoon
