Volunteer In Environmental care:

i) Agro-forestry:
The worry of rivers drying and animals dying of hunger and thirst is our great concern. As most of the blame lie on Global warming, human activities have harshly contributed to negative development and land degradation. Impact that has left even the human being losing their lives. We have therefore embarked on tree planting and existing forest conservation as corrective measures. Through these, we hope to improve water catchment areas and revive our lost glory on climate. AIM has therefore established tree nurseries to distribute seedlings for planting.

ii) Waste/Refuse Disposal
Poor disposal of waste have contributed to spread of conterminable diseases like Cholera especially around the beaches where latrines are either not available or inadequate,
Waste pits and dustbins are uncommon and we must lead the society in establishing proper disposal units through provision of dumping facilities e.g for garbage, etc

We work on modern pit latrine from where wastes are decomposed to make nutritious manure for crop production. This ensures that human wastes don't conterminate sunken wells around them through underground infiltration but are used to improve economy.

iii)Water and Sanitation
AIM is in the forefront on campaigns that encourage clean water provision This, are done through establishing water storage facilities which include plastic water tanks, brick, built under ground water tanks and ceramic treatments ( filters).
Water is an important part of life but mostly is scarce in most villages that are far from the lake. We encourage the locals by sensitizing on roof catchment methodologie to save any drop. Ponds and water pans save animals and women who walk long distances in search of this rear commodity.
Most people consume untreated water unware that  water contibutes to a higher percentage of diseases. this happens mostly amongst those who stay around the natural water bodies like lakes and rivers. Some times tank storages are not healthy when they are not treated or cleaned properly. Such storages may be having water from roof catchments which flow over rusty iron sheets or dirty surfaces. They therefore must be treated before consumption.

Our responsibility / Intervention

We help on the Certified water treatment ways by use of, either chemical or facilites Where possible, we join hands in establishing proper storage facilities for roof catchments. These must be in community support profound projects eg schools dispensaries, etc. We discourage household, washing, bathing or swimming and refuse disposal in water bodies
In camopaigns and awareness creation on personal sanitation. AIM helps to establish hands cleaning facilities after visiting latrines or handling dirt etc
With partnership, we hope to sink boreholes that would provide treated water.

Challenges
The needs are greater than our limited facilities and resources
